The Sister Posse Cards

The Sister Posse is a band of diversely talented women who compliment, support, and defend each other and those around them, each in their own unique way. They represent the amazing gifts we can bring to each other, from the strength to stand firm to the need to grieve and heal from the storms of life. They whisper, dance, comfort, sing and laugh, full of life.

Many people have asked for the stories and images, particularly of the larger pieces, as a way to remember their experience with the Sister Posse figures. I created these cards to not only share these friends from my soul but also to give people a chance to collect pieces that have gone to new owners throughout the world.

There are three sets currently, at 5 cards each, available in the studio.

Sister Posse card sets #1 – #3

How  might you use the cards?

  • As inspiration cards for journaling sessions: close your eyes, shuffle the set and pull a card at random.
    • What do you notice?
    • Does it remind you of anyone or any part of your journey?
    • Read the story – what piece resonates with you or inspires you?
  • As a reflective layout
    • Consider the question or thought you want to reflect on
    • Shuffle and lay out the cards with one at the center and one at each compass point
    • What does the center card bring to mind about your self?
    • Consider each compass point in turn
      • North (top) – What are you aware of now after looking at the card in relation to your question? What tools does it bring to mind that you can use?
      • East (right) – What is blocking you or getting in your way with this question?
      • South (bottom) – What strengths does this card bring to mind that you can call on, whether your own or from those close to you?
      • West (left) – What wisdom does this Sister suggest to you?
  • As enclosures with a note card as a small gift to someone you want to support
  • As a reminder of your intention(s) or journey in a place of meditation, prayer, or reflection
