Deciding to do full time art

As of April 19, 2014, I will be focusing full time on my art- yay!

Some people have called this “retiring” from IT, but I truly see this as a career change to a new job that will be just as much of a professional a commitment as my consulting job ever was. Tiglio Arts and the Studios at Chautauqua Lane, where I have my gallery and working studio space, will be my full time focus.

I will be doing a series of posts on my journey to full time art, as it has been decades in the making and people seem intrigued by the process that brought me to this point. I have been surprised and humbled by those who have seen it as something courageous or as a step they themselves would like to take some day. For me, it has become that which I must do if I want to be the truly balanced person I want to be.
